Did Bowled Bowl Me Over?
With the holiday rush of running last minute errands, who had time to make lunch Christmas Eve? I didn’t, so my son and I stopped in at Bowled on 4th Street to get some take out. Folks keep asking if I have been to Bowled yet, so I thought we’d check it out.
What a Restaurant Review is and What it is Not
I was reading through my blog and I thought it would be a good idea to explain the difference between an actual review and my impressions on my blog.
Perfection on a Bun
Every once in a while you try a new place and even if it doesn’t look like a high-end restaurant, you know they care about serving the best food possible. Such was my experience at Island Seafood today.

Three Birds Tavern is a Different Animal
Everyone remembers Limey’s on 4th Street. It was a place where the locals could congregate, have a drink and maybe play some pool or watch football. The food was not notable (mostly fried bar food) and the place looked a bit weathered.

Villa Pizza
Countryside Mall
(Food Court)
Dunedin, FL
Stopped by the mall and grabbed a slice of pizza for the road. I had a single slice of cheese pizza and was quite surprised by the quality. The store was clean and the slice was big. Pizza was thin and crispy and had a great flavor. I could taste the egg in the dough which gave the pizza a great flavor. I would say this was the best pizza I have ever had in a Mall and would definitely eat this again.
Get Your Voodoo On For Some Authentic Cajun
It’s not much to look at from the outside. In fact, if I hadn’t already heard about this place from other people, I might not have ventured inside.
Cajun Cafe on the Bayou is located on Park right next door to the Wagon Wheel Flea Market. It’s set back off the road in a shack on a bit of water (the “bayou”) with lots of outdoor seating. Walk inside, and you feel like you’ve stepped into a small Louisiana town. It’s rustic, with Mardi Gras beads everywhere and the distinctive smell of Cajun food.
